Despite work taking over our lives, we still hold to our motto:
Think Forever. Travel always. Live on.
While there aren’t any ‘exotic locations’ on the agenda for now, I like to be out and about and explore. The world is so big and there is so much to see. There’s always something to do, something to try, something to eat. 🙂
Therefore, we decided to take advantage of our errand in Concord to explore the surrounding areas. We even brought Dou Dou along for the adventure.
First, we sent off my dear Daddy at San Francisco Airport.
After a delicious meal of Godfather Omelette & my favorite Swedish Pancakes at Boulevard Cafe, we headed straight for Concord. We ran our errand, and then drove around the rolling yellow plains of Concord and grabbed some Starbucks. Many cows, fields, and restaurants later, we ended up in downtown Walnut Creek. Strolling down Olympic Boulevard, I reminisced about past times here with Chris, Jason, and the sexy car that would constantly sputter, die, and slide backwards. Good times. 🙂
Sure enough, Walnut Creek did not disappoint today.
Couldn’t think of a better way to spend my Sunday. Since the weather literally dropped 20 degrees upon our return into the city, we decided to warm up with some good ol’ soul food in the Tenderloin. Nothing spells toasty better than Brenda’s crawfish beignets and crab cakes!
First weekend after work. Check!
