The ride back up to NorCal seems always to be longer and gloomier. After 5.5 long hours sitting in the best seat on the entire bus (being neighbors with the bathroom is always pleasant), we finally arrived at Lee’s Sandwiches in San Jose. K picked us up, dropped Farrah off, and took me out to dinner.
We gave up on Orenchi Ramen due to the horrendous wait time, and headed straight to La Vic’s near San Jose State. Their Super Quesadilla with Orange Sauce is to die for. Om nom nom. I was in Mexican food heaven. Then, K took me by the hand and led me into the hilarious world of San Jose ComedySportz. He got us tickets, sat me down, and got me a delicious Cookie Monster Donut from Psycho Donuts. It was amazing. ComedySportz was a riot, and I give mad props to all the actors and their crazy brilliant adult improv skills. I had a blast and sore abs from laughing too much. Highly recommended for a unique night out with friends or your significant other!
We decided to end the night with sampling some Asian goodies at the SJ Night Market X Movable Feast. Although we came super late after 10pm, there was still a sizeable crowd. In particular, business was booming for the Koja Food Truck. And with good reason, as we discovered the wonderful world of the Koja Combo – BBQ Kalbi Short Rib Rice Bun + Kamikaze Fries + Drink for $12.50. It was divine.
I miss SoCal + Cabo already, but its good to be home. 🙂
