Vespaing through Tainan

I’m so proud of my boyfriend K. It was his first time actually riding a vespa, and he drove me around Tainan for the entire day. He was such a beast, weaving in and out of traffic.

Today was devoted to Tainan. Karen, Dong Ding, K & I took a train at 10 28 from Kaohsiung to Tainan. After we arrived, we immediately rented out vespas for the entire day (only 100 NT/person for the entire day!!!)

It was so much fun, and we went to so many different places around the city. We walked around the AnPIng fort that the Dutch used to occupy, sampled local foods at An Ping Lao Jie, visited An Ping Tree House (SO COOL), enjoyed nature at Lin Mo Niang Park, went to Taiwan’s most famous Lu Wei store, and of course, ended our day at the huge and extremely crowded Hua Yuan Garden Night Market. Several of Dong Ding’s old college pal’s who were Tainan locals came and joined us, providing their expert opinions on the best food stands. The market was sooo packed, but Karen said that it was actually less crowded than normal. Omg.

My battery is almost dying, and my hotel room has no outlet shaped for my macbook charger. I will update more later, but for now, here is a lovely picture from the An Ping Tree House.

Save us!!

A big thank you to Karen ❤ and Dong Ding!!! You guys are sooo sweet.
