Happiness consists of living each day as if it were the first day of your honeymoon and the last day of your vacation.”
Vancouver has been a breath of fresh air. Spending quality time with K and his huge adorable family: aunts, cousins, and nephews = happiness & relaxation. Since I am an only child and have very little family in the states, this large family setting is so refreshing and heartwarming for me. I will be sad to pack up and start the road trip home on the 4th.
So far, in addition to a lot of movie-watching and chilling at home, we have gone snowboarding, tubing, done hot yoga, visited Stanley Park and the Cauldron and driven over Lions Gate Bridge, and ate all sorts of amazingly yummy foods with K’s whole relative clan. The ultimate highlight of my vacation so far has been the majestic ice cream experience at International Ice Cream Factory, where I was immersed in a colorful world of 218 ice cream choices – from classic vanilla to exotic curry, wasabi, and garlic. Finally settling happily with coconut red rice & ferrero roche double scoop, I was in a blissful state of euphoria.

Tomorrow we are off to explore downtown and some good eats like Thomas Haas’ famous almond croissants and cold hold chocolate. I can’t wait!!! 🙂
